We began by transforming banking practices. Now, we’re bringing that momentum to insurance.
In 2018, Premiums for the Planet founder Brad Stevenson ignited a movement for better banking, helping customers move hundreds of millions of dollars away from banks whose investment activities were contributing to environmental degradation and into those committed to a healthier world. He empowered high-profile brands to rethink their banking relationships, pressuring traditional banks to take greater climate responsibility and fostering the growth of greener banking options.
That’s when we recognized the untapped power of insurance. Unlike banking, insurance carriers also wield regulatory power akin to governments, making them even more effective at driving change. Through Premiums for the Planet, organizations can now use their collective voice and insurance dollars to drive a systemic shift toward climate stewardship.
