Marcus L. Cooper

Marcus Cooper is Head of North American Distribution at Everest Insurance.  In his role, Marcus leads the Sales and Distribution team and is responsible for the continued growth of North American insurance operations and deepening and diversifying relationships with trading partners.

Marcus has over 25 years of industry experience. Previously, he worked at Zurich North America Insurance Company as Head of Middle Markets in Zurich’s Commercial Insurance Division.  He also held various leadership roles at Crum & Forester and AIG.

While at Zurich, Marcus streamlined underwriting procedures, oversaw the development of a new underwriting system, restructured the division’s portfolio mix in high catastrophe prone areas and led national initiatives to elevate broker engagement and pipeline development.
